Daniel looked up, mildly surprised by the interruption. The woman, impeccably dressed in a tailored business suit and polished heels, stood confidently beside Seat 1A. Her designer carry-on rested under one arm as she tapped her boarding pass impatiently.
“Seat 1A is mine,” she said, her tone firm, as though she was used to getting her way.
Daniel met her gaze and smiled politely.
“I’m sorry for the confusion,” he said calmly. “But I believe this is my seat.”
The woman frowned.
“I don’t think so. I fly this route every week. I always sit here.”
Daniel nodded.
“I understand. I’d be happy to compare our boarding passes.”
She hesitated, glancing down at the boarding pass in her hand.
The brief silence caught the attention of a nearby flight attendant, who approached with a professional smile.
“Is there a problem?” she asked.
“This gentleman is in my seat,” the woman replied, unable to hide her frustration.
Daniel remained seated and gestured toward the woman’s boarding pass.
“Perhaps we could check the seat assignments,” he suggested calmly.

She thanked him and moved to her assigned seat.
