She explained that her husband’s family planned the trip but didn’t invite her. Out of curiosity, she asked her husband if she could join, and though hesitant, he agreed. His family seemed surprised but welcomed her.

    On the third day, while preparing fruit salad, she overheard her mother-in-law say, “Did she really have nowhere else to spend the weekend?” To her shock, her husband replied, “I KNOW! I didn’t want to bring her, but what was I supposed to do? You know how pushy she can get.”
